NUTURING OUR NEXT GENERATION

Bouygues-Thai was engaged in a charity program in favour of the Baan Nam Khem School, devastated by the tsunami in December 2004. In 2005, reconstruction of the school and construction of three new buildings were conducted with two partners – EDF South East Asia and Carrefour-Cencar, along with the educational support of the Lycee’ Francais International de Bangkok (LFIB).

Upon the initial reconstruction, Bouygues-Thai channelled energies into other supporting programmes, namely Long-Term School Sponsorship and Student Scholarship, under the co-sponsorship of Bouygues-Thai Ltd Foundation, Terre Plurielle and local specialities. Five teachers were hired to provide teaching assistance on French, computer studies, science and physical education. Financial aids were granted to two eligible students to enable them to complete high school and university education respectively.
